This card was inspired by one designed by fellow demonstrator Tammy Beard. I thought her creation of a mini porthole card was fabulous, so I was keen to CASE (Copy and share) it.
The porthole is die cut from copper foil using the largest, and the 3rd largest, Layering Circles Dies. The boat & birds from the Sailing Home Stamp set were stamped on a circle of Whisper White card, cut using the same die as the larger of the ones used to cut the copper foil.

The sea was painted using a Wink of Stella pen dipped into a little Night of Navy & Balmy Blue ink. Tammy is right that the shimmer provided by the Wink of Stella, really looks effective as the shimmer of the sea.
A few gold metallic pearls as rivets completed the porthole.
I wanted to make a full sized card, so I added a mat of Come Sail Away DSP, layered on a Night of Navy mat behind the porthole. I added some bakers twine & a trinket from the Come Sail Away suite, and mounted it on a Seaside Spray card base.
The greeting from the Perennial Birthday Stamp set was stamped in Night of Navy on a scrap of Seaside Spray cardstock and cut using a die from the Smooth Sailing Dies. After inking the edges, I used Stampin’ dimensionals to add the greeting to the card.
Hope you like it!
