2 Cards from 1 sheet of Wrapped in Plaid DSP

With so many cards to make & send at Christmas, we all need to be frugal. So getting 2 lovely cards from 1 sheet of DSP has to be good.

For these cards, I cut my 6" x 6" sheet of DSP to 5 5/8" then cut it on the long side at 3 7/8", giving me a 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" piece & a 2 1/8" x 5 5/8" piece.

From the centre of the larger of these 2 pieces, I then cut a rectangle using the 5th largest of the stitched rectangle dies. This gives you enough DSP to punch 2 of trees out using the Pine Tree Punch.

The greeting is from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set, and looks lovely embossed in Gold.

For the card on the left, I stamped the greeting on a scrap of Shaded Spruce cardstock, and cut it out, & an extra blank shape, using the Tailored Tag Punch. I cut 2 shapes from Gold Foil Card using the same punch, cut them in half & layered them behind the shaded spruce tags, so that a border of Gold could be seen.

A strip of Gold Glimmer paper behind the top & bottom of the DSP completed the look.

Hope you like them

Pine Tree - Punch 2 trees from the piece of DSP  you previously cut from the centre. Use 1 for this card & save the other for the second card.

Card B

DSP Layer - 5 5/8" x 2 1/8". Add a 5 5/8" x 3/8" strip of Gold Glimmer paper to each side of the back of the DSP,  so that a narrow border can be seen from the front. Attach this to the centre of the front of the card.

Using the Tailored tag punch, punch 2 pieces of Gold Foil & 2 of a contrasting colour. Stamp (& heat emboss) the greeting on one of the coloured tags. Cut the Gold Foil tags in half & adhere to the back of the coloured tags so that a narrow border is visible.

Add the Pine Tree retained from Card A to one of these tags, using dimensionals & attach the 2 tags to your card.
