Feels Like Frost Fancy Fold Card

Don’t you love the Feels like Frost designer series papers. The photographic scenes on one side of the papers are beautiful, and so are the silver foiled designs on the other side. You’ll be spoilt for choice!

Some of the scenes are just too beautiful to only use part of the paper, so I decided to use almost the whole sheet for these cards. The leftover strip from cutting the piece for the front, is used on the inside, and the fold makes it possible to see the whole scene when you open up the card.

I didn't want to detract from the beautiful papers by adding too much, so, for most of them, I stuck to adding a little Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, and a greeting, stamped on vellum, embossed in silver and cut out using the timeless label punch.

The greeting from the So Many Stars stamp set seemed to fit with these beautiful papers so well, so I used it for the inside of the card.

I used Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink to stamp the deer from the Dashing Deer Stamp set on this one.

Hope you like them!

Instructions:

Base card:   I used Night of Navy, Seaside Spray & Rococo Rose in the examples above.

1/2 sheet of A4, scored at 5.25cm, 10.5cm (2 1/16", 4 1/8")

Fold the card in half on the 10.5cm score line, then fold the front of the card back on itself at the 5.25cm line, forming a z shape.

Trim your DSP down to 14.5cm (5 3/4") in height, then cut it at 10cm (4") width. Giving you 2 panels that are the same height.

Attach the larger panel to 1/4 of a sheet of A4 (10.5cm x 14.8cm : 4 1/8" x 5 7/8") cardstock in the same colour as your base card.

Now attach the panel to the front flap of your base card, ensuring that you only glue the part that is attached to the flap.

On the inside of the card attach the narrow strip of DSP on the left hand side, and a 5cm (2") strip of whisper white card, stamped with your greeting, to the right hand side.

Decorate the front of the card with stamps, glitter &/or greetings.
