Holly Jolly Dairy Milk Snowman

This suite is very aptly named - this Santa really is very Jolly! And fun to colour with our Stampin' Blends too. The matching dies make decorating these little boxes very easy, so you can concentrate on having fun with the colouring!

I've made the boxes from 2 sheets of the Regals 6" x 6" DSP in Real Red, as I felt it needed a slightly plainer background.

Hope you like them

Instructions

Start with a piece of DSP measuring 6" x 6" ( 15cm x 15cm)

Score at 7/8", 5 1/8"  (2cm, 13cm)

Turn 90 degrees & score at 7/8", 2 9/16", 3 7/16", 5 1/8"   (2cm, 6.5cm, 8.5, 13cm)

On each of the 2 sides, you should now have square, rectangle, square, rectangle, square as in this template.

Cut down the score lines between the rectangles & squares, just to the first score line.

For a neat finish, now wedge slightly into each of the squares.

Fold & burnish all the score lines.

Using wet glue, or other strong adhesive, fold up one end square and the middle square and attach to the inside of the rectangle, making sure the join is square. On the template above you are joining B to B & C to C. Then do the same to the opposite side, at the same end. This forms the base of the box.

The other end forms the lid. Attach each of the squares to the adjacent rectangle as above (A to A) Tip: Fold the lid around the base as you glue it, this will ensure the lid actually fits over the base.
