I think all crafter’s have those ‘Oops’ moments! The challenge is to turn the Oops into a design opportunity!
For this card, I cut a piece of the Painted Seasons DSP at 5 1/2” by 3 7/8” (13.8cm by 10cm), then cut an A4 piece (or so I thought!!) of Pool Party cardstock in half lengthways. I scored it on the long side at 5 5/8” (14.8cm), then realised that my card wasn’t a full A4 size, so one side of my card was shorter than the other ....Oops!
To remedy my error, I simply cut the piece of DSP down to 4 1/2” (11.5 cm), and attached the extra strip to the inside of my card, so that it peeks out from behind the card front!
To complete the card I stamped the greeting from the More than Words stamp set in pool party, lemon Lime twist & Granny Apple Green, on Whisper White cardstock, cut it with the rectangle stitched framelits, and mounted it onto a piece of pool party, cut with a slightly bigger rectangle stitched framelit.
